On the rosary bus, I went from Buffalo Narrows to Dillon for my 25th checkpoint. Tomorrow we will be going to Michel Village and today is the feast day of St. Augustine of Canterbury and we will do a prayer, beginning with the St. Kateri Tekakwitha prayer and the prayer to Our Lady of China and this is our 5th day for the Global Prayer for China.
PRAYER TO ST. AUGUSTINE OF CANTERBURY
O God, who by the preaching
of the Bishop Saint Augustine of Canterbury
led the English people to the Gospel,
grant, we pray, that the fruits of his labors
may remain ever abundant in your Church.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
PRAYER TO ST. KATERI TEKAKWITHA
O Saint Kateri, Lily of the Mohawks,
Your love for Jesus,
so strong, so steadfast,
pray that we may become like you.
Your short and painful life
showed us your strength and humility.
Pray that we may become
forever humble like you.
Like the bright and shining stars at night,
we pray that your light
may forever shine down upon us,
giving light, hope, peacefulness
and serenity in our darkest moments.
Fill our hearts, Saint Kateri Tekakwitha
with your same love for Jesus
and pray that we may have the strength and courage
to become one like you in Heaven.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF CHINA
Hail, Holy Mary, Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Mother of all nations and all people. You are the special heavenly Mother of the Chinese people.
Teach us, your way of total obedience to God's will. Help us to live our lives true to our faith. Fill our hearts with burning love for God and each other. Stir up in our youth, an unconditional giving of self to the service of God.
We call on your powerful intercession for peace, reconciliation and unity among the believers and conversion of the unbelievers in China and throughout the world, for God's mercy is our only hope.
Our Lady of China, Mother of Jesus, hear our petitions and pray for us. Amen.
